I had the privilege of viewing Homestead Blessing’s newest instructional dvd titled, “The Art of Sewing.” This is a wonderful resource that gives you step-by-step instructions to make a pillow, pillow case, blanket, tiered skirt, blouse and apron. They even show you how to quilt, a special technique not always taught.
If you never learned anything about sewing, or are simply looking for ideas, this is just the thing for you; they show you everything from cutting out material and using a basic machine to stitching by hand.
One thing I particularly like about all the West ladies’ videos is that they never go too fast for you to follow along, but they never go too slow and make you bored. The same is true in this video – they demonstrate each step quickly and efficiently, explaining each step with precision and clarity.
Overall, I thought they did a wonderful job. This new movie is perfect for anyone who wants to sew, from beginner and on.
You can buy this movie for $14.95 on sale here.

It’s good to know that they’ve got the pace all figured out so well.
