Busy schedule? Having trouble fitting in the time to make wholesome meals every day? Here are some tips to make your job a little easier.

If you have a freezer, cook ground meat and chicken off. Then put it into dinner portion size bags. Freeze and use later to save the trouble of having to cook it off when you need it.

Morning rush making you skip breakfast? Make a batch of muffins and keep them handy on the counter. Just grab and go.

Make a bunch of casseroles to make lunch easy as putting dinner in the oven.

For dessert make up cookie dough. Then take a greased cookies sheet and cover it with cookie dough balls. Freeze and then put them in a plastic bag. When you want fresh cookies just heat up the oven.

This may sound like a lot of work to begin with, but trust me for a days’ worth of work in the kitchen You can save yourself so much time later on. Instead of having to spend all day in the kitchen, you only have to spend an hour or two. Also you have less dishes to clean up after.

Just do whatever works best for you!

These are all great ideas! I always cook a little extra chicken or beef when I’m making casseroles or spaghetti and freeze them – it’s so much easier to cook on a busy night when I have something already 1/2 way prepared!

I almost always make extra for dinner, and then package up the rest for later meals in individual portions. It makes me happy when I don’t have to cook all the time!

I love the cookie dough idea! I love making food and freezing it ahead. I’ve also done extra bread dough into rolls and then same process, greased cookie sheet until frozen and then pop them in labeled plastic bags. Thaw, let rise, and bake. Viola! All done! You’re right, it can seem a little time-consuming ahead of time but the conveience of just being able to pull something out of the freezer and thaw and/or bake is a wonderful thing! Well worth the little bit of extra effort!
